On Saturday, 21.05.2022, between 23:00 and 23:10, a pursuit took place in the city area of Homburg and Erbach. The starting point was the intersection of Dürerstraße/Berliner Straße in 66424 Homburg-Erbach, where a patrol car unit noticed a motorcycle being driven at significantly excessive speed into Dürerstraße. During the subsequent pursuit to carry out a traffic stop, the driver did not respond to the stop signals. The motorcycle continued driving with increasingly excessive speed into the residential area of Bodelschwingh-/Hasenäcker-/Feuerbach- and Dürerstraße. Afterwards, visual contact was lost in Dürerstraße. The motorcycle was located again during the search at the intersection of Richard-Wagner-Straße / Bexbacher Straße at the traffic lights there. Upon seeing the patrol car, the rider accelerated again, running the red light towards Einöd. At the following intersections on Bexbacher Straße (B 423), the rider repeatedly overtook other road users at significantly excessive speeds, sometimes weaving between vehicles, and ran additional red lights. The motorcyclist was last seen in the area of Bexbacher Straße at "Schwarzenbacher Stich." Here, the motorcycle was driven at over 150 km/h in the direction of Einöd and visual contact was lost.
Witnesses who can provide useful information, were endangered, or can give details about the driver or motorcycle are asked to contact the police station in Homburg (06841-1060).
