On Saturday noon, 21.05.2022, around 2:00 p.m., the damaged driver was driving his car on the BAB 8 in the direction of Zweibrücken on the left of the two lanes. About 150 meters before the Kutzhof rest area, a gray Citroen with a foreign license plate overtook the victim on the right lane. After the overtaking maneuver, the previously unknown driver switched back to the left of the two lanes immediately in front of the victim, forcing him to brake hard and swerve to the left.
Due to the evasive maneuver, the injured party collided with the central guardrail. This caused corresponding property damage to both the vehicle and the guardrail.
The car responsible drove away from the scene towards Zweibrücken without fulfilling its obligations due to involvement in a traffic accident.
