It was originally planned to take place in the summer of 2020 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Saarpfalz Hospice Association: the benefit concert by the Big Band of the Saarland Police. But the coronavirus made this project impossible. Now, on Saturday, June 11, 2022, it is finally happening. The Big Band of the Saarland Police and the two soloists Susanne Thewes and Sebastian Weber will perform at 8 p.m. in the St. Ingbert City Hall.
The Police Big Band is a modern professional jazz orchestra that sees itself as a link between the police and the public. In a variety of performances, the musicians demonstrate their skill, flexibility, and artistic versatility. The band's program ranges from traditional big band music to sophisticated entertainment featuring evergreens, film melodies, and pop music classics.
The organizer of the concert is the Saarpfalz Hospice Association. The benefit concert for outpatient hospice care will take place on Saturday. The Saarpfalz Hospice Association supports hospice work in many areas. The association is mainly committed to the training and further education of full-time and volunteer staff of the Outpatient Hospice and Palliative Care Advisory Service. Furthermore, it helps finance events such as Hospice Days, provides small emergency aid for needy sick people, and enables small "final wishes".
Tickets priced at €15, reduced €12 (for pupils, students, and people with disabilities) plus advance booking fees are available online at www.reservix.de, at all reservix advance booking offices, and at the box office on the evening of the event.
