The state capital Saarbrücken and the initiative Info.Saar.UA invite you to a picnic at long tables on Tblisser Platz on Sunday, May 8th, at 2 p.m. It is intended to bring together refugees from Ukraine, helpers, and all interested parties.
The event directly follows the rally by the initiative Info.Saar.UA, which has been taking place every Sunday at 1 p.m. in front of the State Theater since the beginning of the war.
Mayor Barbara Meyer about the event: "The idea is very simple: Everyone brings something and shares it with others, because sharing connects. This is what we want to achieve on this afternoon. I look forward to many residents of Saarbrücken accepting our invitation!"
Participants can bring food, drinks, tablecloths, table decorations, toys for the children, and musical instruments. There will be an open stage for speeches and musical performances. Clubs, projects, and counseling centers can provide information about their services with flyers and personal conversations. Volunteers looking for a field of activity can get in touch with existing initiatives.
Background on the organizers
