The Saarbrücken City Library, in cooperation with the Institut d'Études Françaises in Saarbrücken, presents the exhibition "Tryptique" by the Parisian photographer Louise Skira from Tuesday, May 10, to Saturday, June 11.
In her exhibition on the occasion of Europe Day on Monday, May 9th, the photographer is presenting her three series of images on the theme of travel for the first time in Saarbrücken. These are analog black-and-white photographs from various locations. They were taken between 2008 and 2014 and offer visitors abstract impressions.
Background
Louise Skira, born in 1985, lives and works in Paris. She is the daughter of a painter. She chose photography as her specific form of language and artistic expression. The photographer has been taking black-and-white photos since she was 16 years old. Since 2009, she has been exhibiting her photographs publicly. From 2012 to 2020, she participated in exhibitions and festivals in Germany, Austria, Spain, Belgium, and France.
