On May 3, 2022, at around 10:45 a.m., a traffic accident involving a seriously injured pedestrian occurred on Untere Kaiserstraße, approximately at house number 19, in 66386 St. Ingbert-Rentrisch.
According to current knowledge, the seriously injured 40-year-old pedestrian wanted to cross the street at the above-mentioned location. In the process, the man was hit by an as yet unknown small car and thrown onto the street. Subsequently, the unknown driver fled the scene and has not yet been identified. The man suffered more severe leg injuries. The injured person was taken to a nearby hospital by relatives and informed the St. Ingbert police station about the incident after initial treatment. The driver is said to have been a male person.
