On Monday, 25.04.2022, between 10:50 and 11:20 a.m., there was a police chase during which multiple traffic violations occurred in the area of St. Ingbert as well as on the BAB 6 and BAB 8 highways. A red Ford Mondeo with SB license plates drove from Oststraße in St. Ingbert via Kaiserstraße towards Rohrbach, then through Obere Kaiserstraße to the motorway entrance onto the BAB 6 heading towards Mannheim.
At the Neunkirchen junction, the vehicle changed to the A8 motorway heading towards Neunkirchen. The A8 was exited at the Wellesweiler interchange. The vehicle was driven in a grossly unlawful manner and with a significant exceedance of the permitted speeds both within the city and on the motorway. The vehicle was pursued by police vehicles with activated emergency signals.
