On early Sunday afternoon (24.04.2022), a fire was reported in a multi-family house in Saarbrücken-Klarenthal. The house on Aschbachring street was immediately reached by forces from the professional and volunteer fire departments, the emergency medical services, and the police. Some residents were able to rescue themselves to the outside, while others had to wait in their apartments until the fire department had extinguished the fire in the basement and ventilated the building. No resident is currently reported to be seriously injured, but one person had to be taken to a hospital. The building is currently uninhabitable. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the police.
