Accident under the influence of alcohol:
On Saturday morning around 1:00 AM, a 38-year-old driver from Heusweiler was driving his Audi on Provinzialstraße in Illingen-Hüttigweiler towards Welschbach. Due to his significant alcohol impairment, he collided with a delivery van parked at the roadside. The driver was apparently not injured in the accident. However, he had to undergo a blood test and surrender his driver's license.
Broken-into car in Neunkirchen:
On Saturday evening, the rear right window of an Opel Zafira, which was parked in a parking lot on Neunkircher Schloßstraße, was smashed. A navigation device and a backpack were stolen from the car.
Two fires in Wiebelskirchen:
On Saturday around 10:30 PM, a burning car was reported on Schinkelstraße in Neunkirchen-Wiebelskirchen. The vehicle was a white Peugeot 208, which had been parked there since the previous day. When the emergency services arrived, the car was fully engulfed in flames and had to be extinguished by the volunteer fire department. In order to conduct investigations into the cause of the fire, the vehicle was secured.
On the same night, a paper waste bin near a garage on Bexbacher Street also caught fire at 5:30 a.m. The cause of the fire is currently unknown. The garage was soiled by the smoke, but the fire did not spread to the garage.
