On Good Friday, around 8:50 p.m., a 59-year-old man contacted the police and reported that he had been robbed. He was walking from Schmelz to Lebach when several men in a dark gray Mercedes with foreign license plates approached him and forced him to get in. When the car stopped in a parking lot, they forced him to lie on the ground and took his money. He was then able to escape. The Mercedes drove off in the direction of Schmelz. He sustained minor injuries attributable to the assault.
The police were no longer able to locate the Mercedes. The man was later handed over to the care of relatives.
The Lebach police station requests that any relevant information be reported in this matter.
