Early on Wednesday evening (13.04.2022), traffic police officers checked an older car in Schmelz, which was in a noticeably poor condition. The driver of the vehicle, which was not insured, was under the influence of drugs. The continuation of the journey was prohibited, and several criminal and administrative offense reports are being filed.
Already at the beginning of the inspection of the Opel Agila, the officers detected the smell of cannabis in the vehicle. It also emerged that the 25-year-old man, who was traveling with his 24-year-old wife and their 4-year-old son, was under the influence of drugs. A blood sample was taken from him, and he now also faces the revocation of his driving license.
In addition to various rubbish, the colleagues found a blank firing gun with ammunition as well as other drugs in the vehicle.
The traffic police explicitly point out that driving under the influence of drugs significantly endangers road safety and can result in severe penalties.
