What is event planning?

The­re are many parts to event plan­ning from estab­li­shing its pur­po­se, defi­ning the tar­get audi­ence, fin­ding a venue, orga­ni­sing cate­ring, mar­ke­ting, inte­gra­ting tech­no­lo­gy solu­ti­ons right through to post-event sur­veys and reports.
Do I need a pro­fes­sio­nal event planner?
Having an expe­ri­en­ced and spe­cia­list event plan­ner will ensu­re most pro­fes­sio­nal, effi­ci­ent and cost-effec­ti­ve out­co­me for your event. Events requi­re con­si­derable time, resour­ces and con­ta­cts to plan and usual­ly invol­ve finan­cial risk. Event plan­ners will relie­ve this pres­su­re and ensu­re the job is done right and to your expectations.
How can I regis­ter? What are the regis­tra­ti­on rates
Mem­bers will recei­ve an email with regis­tra­ti­on details in Fall of 2017, when regis­tra­ti­on opens.

Am I eli­gi­ble for the mem­ber rate?
All 2017–2018 mem­bers are eli­gi­ble for Annu­al Con­fe­rence mem­ber rates.If you have a ques­ti­on about your mem­bers­hip sta­tus, plea­se email or call (919) 668‑1928.
How do I add a work­shop to my registration?
You can regis­ter for work­shops on regis­tra­ti­on form. Work­shops are not inclu­ded in con­fe­rence regis­tra­ti­on and incur an addi­tio­nal fee.
Is the con­fe­rence sche­du­le available?
Details will be pos­ted on our web­site as they are con­fir­med. A full con­fe­rence sche­du­le, inclu­ding con­fe­rence ses­si­ons, will be avail­ab­le on our web­site in late January.
What hotel should I stay at during the conference?
Hotel infor­ma­ti­on will be sent to you with a con­fir­ma­ti­on let­ter. A block of rooms has been reser­ved at a spe­cial rate and will be fil­led on a first-come, first-ser­ved basis. Plea­se con­ta­ct hotel directly;
What hap­pens if the­re is a sche­du­le change?
At times it might be necessa­ry to can­cel or reschedu­le a con­fe­rence after rece­i­pt of a con­fir­ma­ti­on let­ter. The IIA will pro­vi­de advan­ce noti­ce of any chan­ges and in doing so will not be respon­si­ble for pen­al­ties rela­ted to the can­ce­ling or reschedu­ling of air­fa­res, lod­ging, etc.
How do I beco­me a mem­ber of The NA?

How can my orga­niz­a­ti­on beco­me a con­fe­rence sponsor?
Spon­sor­s­hip oppor­tu­nities are limi­ted, so act today. Spon­sor­s­hips are pro­ces­sed in April thru August for the con­fe­rence the fol­lowing year. To beco­me a spon­sor and for more infor­ma­ti­on, plea­se con­ta­ct .
How can I recei­ve a list of par­ti­ci­pants or attendees?
The par­ti­ci­pant list is sent to regis­tered atten­de­es twice: once after the ear­ly bird regis­tra­ti­on dead­line, then after the regu­lar regis­tra­ti­on dead­line. A full par­ti­ci­pant list will be avail­ab­le at the AIEA Conference.
Will I recei­ve a cer­ti­fi­ca­te of attendance?
Regis­tra­ti­on fees are refund­able, less a $99 pro­ces­sing fee, up until Janu­a­ry 13. No refund will be issued for can­cel­la­ti­ons star­ting Janu­a­ry 14, 2018.
Regis­tra­ti­ons are trans­fera­ble (wit­hin the same mem­bers­hip cate­go­ry) until Janu­a­ry 13 with a $75 admi­nis­tra­ti­ve trans­fer fee. Star­ting Janu­a­ry 14, trans­fers will not be accepted.
