Siren systems in the Saarbrücken city area will be maintained next week – Brief test alarms are possible
Next week, from Monday, August 31, to Friday, September 4, scheduled maintenance will be carried out on the existing siren systems throughout the Saarbrücken city area.
A specialist company will inspect several siren locations throughout the city area.
The systems will be checked one after the other. The specialist company will examine, among other things, the technical components and ensure that the sirens function reliably in an emergency.
Brief test alarms possible
During the maintenance work, it may happen that individual sirens are triggered briefly for testing purposes. Therefore, siren sounds may occasionally be heard. These do not represent a warning to the population or an operation but exclusively a technical function test.
Due to the necessary coordination with the various locations, maintenance of some systems may possibly be postponed to a later date.
