On 19.08.2026 around 11:20 am, an incident occurred directly in front of the service building of the St. Ingbert police station.
According to the current state of investigations, a 26-year-old randomly attacked passersby. The suspect pushed a 73-year-old man to the ground, causing him to suffer multiple abrasions. Subsequently, a 34-year-old woman stood in the suspect’s way, whereupon he also pushed her to the ground. The young woman was also injured in the incident.
The fleeing perpetrator was located and arrested by police officers not far from the station. The 26-year-old was taken into custody without resistance. Further investigations revealed that the suspect was in a state of psychological emergency. After the completion of police measures, he was admitted to a closed psychiatric facility.
The two injured passersby were transported by ambulance to nearby hospitals.
Corresponding investigations against the suspect have been initiated.
