Yannick Christmann is the new spokesperson for the state capital Saarbrücken
Since
today’s Monday, August 3, Yannick Christmann has been heading the Marketing and Communications Department of the state capital Saarbrücken as the new spokesperson.
The 45-year-old has thus succeeded Thomas Blug, who now leads the Cultural Office of the state capital.
Yannick Christmann is a graduate of the German School of Journalism in Munich and worked for ten years as an editor of the tagesschau at
Norddeutscher Rundfunk (NDR) in Hamburg. From there, he initially moved to the NDR press office and later to the directorate. Most recently, he was responsible for ARD in a managerial role for the strategy and presence of NDR, tagesschau and Sportschau on
digital third-party platforms.
Saarbrücken’s Mayor Uwe Conradt: “With Yannick Christmann, we gain a nationally networked media professional with leadership experience.
As a former tagesschau editor, he is accustomed to formulating precisely and appropriately for target groups even under time pressure. His expertise in digital media will further strengthen the communication of the state capital. I look forward to the cooperation
and new impulses.”
Yannick Christmann: “As
a Saarlander and
native Saarbrücken resident, the state capital is particularly close to my heart. I am looking forward to the exciting task of communicating the work and decisions of the city administration
together with my team and representing the city externally. Saarbrücken has a special radiance as a Eurometropolis and offers a lot to the people.”
