Lecture "Fresh Herbs from Your Own Garden" on August 13 at Haus Lochfeld
On August 13, the Zweckverband "Saar-Blies-Gau / Auf der Lohe" is offering a slideshow lecture on the cultivation, use, and preservation of herbs at Haus Lochfeld in Mandelbachtal. The speaker is Gertraud Schrecklinger, master gardener in garden and landscape construction with a focus on plant usage. The participation fee is 6 euros per person.
Being able to harvest fresh herbs in your own garden is not only a delightful addition to the kitchen. Mediterranean herbs, in particular, can be beautifully integrated into the design of a perennial bed. Gertraud Schrecklinger will talk about the site requirements and care of annual and perennial herbs as well as various methods of preservation.
Registration is required by August 11 at the latest by calling (06841) 104-7228 or by email to haus-lochfeld@saarpfalz-kreis.de. Due to limited parking at the house, participants are asked to use parking spaces in the surrounding area or to form carpools.
